Recent Grants

When our donors give unrestricted gifts, they allow the Foundation's trustees to determine how their gifts can best serve the community from year to year as needs and programs change. The earnings from these gifts are distributed through our Discretionary Grants Program. This program allowed us to award $30,000 during our most recent grant cycle:

Children & Family Services Corp. for Court Appointed Special Advocate (CASA) Program 

$1,500 to provide training materials in support of their "Media Campaign for Volunteer Recruitment & Support" project. 

 

Grant Association of Knox County, Indiana, Inc. (GAKCI)
$1,000 to provide funding for speaker fees as a part of their "Knox County Grant Writing & Proposal Development Workshop" project. 

 

Good Samaritan Primary Care Clinic
 $3,460 to provide funding for medical and pharmacy supplies for their "Good Samaritan Hospital Primary Care Clinic for the Uninsured" project. 

 

Generations
$2,500 to provide speaker fees to support their "Caregiver Workshop" project.
 

Indiana Military Museum
$480 to provide funding for production of promotional DVDs for their "Full Color & Sound Promotional DVD" project.
 

Knox County Shrine Club

$3,000 to provide partial funding for their "Hospital Van" project.
 

Knox County Public Library
$1,910 to provide local match required by Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation to purchase computers in support of their "Gates Computers for Community Development" project.
 

North Knox Swimland

$3,500 to provide funding to purchase a slide for their "Simming Pool Slide" project. 

 

Old Northwest Corporation
$2,200 to provide funding for their "Science and the Founding Fathers" project.

Psi Iota Xi, Alpha Omicron Chapter

$925 to fund the performing artists' fees for their "Performance for Knox County Sixth Graders" project.

South Knox Education Foundation
$4,000 to provide partial funding to purchase 4 computers as a part of their "Educational Success Center" project.

Walnut Grove United Methodist Church
$3,000 to support their "Back To School Mall" project.

United Way of Knox County
$2,500 to provide support for the "4Communities2" project.
